note 1
note 2
The Conder or Divnic is hard to set on a loft number. It can be off
2' to 4' either way and still be on the number. Your eyes must be
in the same relative position each time you set it. I set it on a 3 iron
10 times and then checked it each time with a golfsmith loft- lie
measuring fixture and was on the correct loft just 3 times out of 10.
These are clearly not accurate club settings but good sales tools.
Note 1
Note 2
The Universal club has 10 teeth on one side of the selector and 11
teeth on the other side which allows for differential movement of
3.33 degrees. All of the other clubs have 9 or 18 teeth on one side
and 10 or 20 teeth on the other for a difference of 2 or 4 degrees
in loft between clubs. Since there is 3 degrees difference of the
standard lofts on low irons and 4 and 5 degrees on mid and high
iron lofts. The Universal club is the most accurate when comparing
to Standard Lofts.
